My Portfolio Version Two
June 06, 2025

Hi! This is my first blog, and I’ll be sharing a bit about Portfolio Version Two. Not the most exciting topic? Maybe — but it’s important to me, and here’s why.

As you might’ve guessed, I had a previous version of my portfolio. This one is the second — a much more refined version. One of the biggest changes I made was simplifying the overall look by switching the brand colors to just black and white. This helps keep the focus on what really matters: the content. Before designing anything, I asked myself:

What do I actually want to show people?

I came up with a short list:

  • Blogs
  • Projects
  • About Me
  • My Artworks
  • Experience

From that list, I mapped out the pages I needed and started designing in Figma. Once I had the visuals down, I decided on the technologies I wanted to use.

What technologies do I want to use?

  • Next.js (App Router)
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Laravel
  • MySQL

At the moment, my deployed portfolio is still static — all the data is hardcoded. That’s because I’m still learning Laravel, and my current skills aren’t quite enough to build the full backend. Still, I wanted to share the portfolio as it is, rather than wait.

The plan is to keep working on the backend slowly but surely. It’ll take time (because I’m not confident in Laravel yet), but I’m committed to turning this into a fully dynamic portfolio — one that connects both frontend and backend seamlessly.

Building Giggle Pics: Turning a Wild Idea into Code
June 26, 2025

Giggle Pics is Deployed on Staging 🎉

What is Giggle Pics?

Giggle Pics is a fun and creative photo strip business. This simple yet engaging website is designed to showcase the business, its products, and its services.

What Inspired Me?

My friends and I talked about starting a photo strip business — even imagining our own studio where people could walk in and create good memories. That idea made me think:“Why not make a website for this?”

I went to Pinterest to look for UI inspiration and discovered a layout by DesignPixie that caught my eye. I used that as a starting point and designed the Giggle Pics layout in Figma.

Additionally, I wanted to build this with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to refresh my fundamentals.

Project Status

Giggle Pics is currently in staging, but you can explore it via the “View Site” link in my projects section, as it’s deployed on Vercel. This project is still a work in progress — some optimizations and best practices are yet to be added. Once complete, I’ll deploy it to production.
